I am a physiologist / immunologist / cell biologist / molecular biologist with a special interest in fish.

My research focuses on the impact of environmental factors on fish physiology and on the development of innovative solutions for increasing productivity in aquaculture.

Temperature acclimation study sampling

Adrian and I spent a week in the lab of Fredrik Jutfelt to take samples from temperature acclimated fish. These samples will be analysed for changes in gene expression.

Research stay May 2017

I spent 3 weeks at Fredrik Jutfelt's lab at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway to work on an initial study to investigate the odours involved in predator avoidance behaviour in zebrafish. This work was funded by a ECR travel grant from University of Greenwich.
